Party Preparations
I had family visiting, and they all worked hard to throw me a party! Kai, Grant, Max, and Lilia were in charge of the decorations. Carol, Cyndy, and Mom created the cakes and food. Art and I did the shopping and drink prep. I decided that since I was turning 50 it should be a combination "Birthday and Wake" so one of the living rooms was set up "Birthday Party Style" and the other was sort of "Funeral Style".

The Party
Great turnout! I surprised everyone with some musical entertainment from the Heart of Dallas Chorus who sang 4-5 songs. Carol made 5 German chocolate cakes (my favorite!) and had them delivered one after the other -- with each delivery requiring ANOTHER singing of "Happy Birthday". |
